Highlights of the play meeting
- I was the first to arrive at Bob's since I forgot to set my watch
back an hour for Daylight Savings Time so I arrived an hour early.
That was all right, Bob set his clock *forward* and hour so he was
wondering where everyone was. Most everyone else arrived on time.
Fortunately Bob had placed a LEGO sign on his front yard since the
directions had a typo in the address but everyone found it all right.
We should have left a note on the door when we went out to lunch
though because Kevin and Denise were wondering what happened to
us — on the bright side, it gave them time to shop at the
local TRU.
- I got the grand tour and saw how Bob takes over both of the beds
and covers them with containers of LEGO when he is building.
- There was a small train layout but we didn't spend a lot of time
running trains this meeting. Rather unusual of us.
- The LEGO that was provided to ILTCO was distributed. You can see
the items that nobody wanted. Imagine that — LEGO that nobody
wants.
- Nate had bought a bunch of Yoda's and was giving away tan and
green plates. What a generous guy!
- We went out for lunch with Bob leading the convoy. Bob is, uh,
a bit aggressive when it comes to yellow lights and we lost the
last car in our convoy. Amazingly, they found us anyway! On the
way back, Mr. Yellow Light slipped thorough another yellow light
and, you guessed it, lost the last car in our convoy. We pulled
over and waited for them to catch up this time. We were going to
stop at the local toy store but there was a huge block party right
where the shop was so we dropped that idea and went back to Bob's.
- Bob had made a VCD slide show containing pictures of trains. We
all sat around and enjoyed watching. Unfortunately every time Tom
pointed out something for the rest of us to look at, by the time
we looked, it was already the next slide. Even using the remote
didn't help. The slide show was a great idea. I think we watched
it about three times. After that, we watched one of the toy train
video that Bob and his son likes.
Highlights of the business meeting
- Bob is taking over from Tom the chairmanship of the WamaLTC SIG.
- Greg and Denise have agreed to be our ILTCO
representatives (at least for the next six months).
